Rhododendron Award

This award is given by WVAND to a person, not a dietitian, who has made a significant contribution to the science of nutrition and to the dietetic profession. The winner’s contributions must be documented, and this person should be highly merited and deserving of the award.

Criteria for Selection

  • The nominee should be actively engaged and/or supportive of the field of nutrition and dietetics.
  • They should demonstrate concern for the promotion of optimal health and nutritional status of the population and leadership, e.g., in legislation, research, education, management, etc., either in the field of nutrition and dietetics or in other ways that impact the profession.

Award Recognition

  • The winner will be honored at WVAND Annual Conference & Expo.

    • nomination narrative,
    • nominee's resume/CV,
    • nominee photo (optional)
    • one optional letter of reference (from someone other than the person completing the nomination form) to support your nomination.
